It all seems to be about Sunday this weekend. Although don’t forget there will be Saturday regulars going on – Kaiapoi Farmers’ Market runs from 9am to 12 midday in Charles Street.
Also, Rangiora Toy Library is open Saturdays 9.30am to 12.30pm if you’re looking for something to keep the kids entertained. If you’re down in Kaiapoi there’s also a Toy Library there (17A Otaki Street) and it’s open Saturday 10am to 1pm.
On to Sunday. Here’s a few suggestions:
Sunday 23rd Feb – St Joseph’s School Fair – Rangiora – 11.30am to 3.30pm – sounds like it might be an option to keep the kiddies entertained on Sunday afternoon. Expect craft stalls, live entertainment, Devonshire teas, pony rides and other fun things. Gold coin entry
Sunday 23rd Feb – Community Fun Day – St David’s Union Parish, Cust – 11am to 2pm – bouncy castles, balloon animals, face painting and other kids’ entertainment. Coffee and food available to buy.
Sunday 23rd – Kaiapoi Club Annual Kids’ Fishing Comp – Kaiapoi Wharf from 11am to 1pm – For kids from 3 to 15 years. Kids can register to take part on the day at the desk by the Kaiapoi i-site on Charles Street. Entry fee 50c to $1 depending on age.
Sunday 23rd – South Island Pipe Band Championships Contest – Kaiapoi Rugby Club Grounds, Smith Street – I’ve just seen a sign for this in a few places around Kaiapoi. It starts with some marching at 9am in Charles St, Davie St and Sewell St. So I guess the contest starts after that, so mid-morning .
Have a great weekend. And if you know of anything going on that the rest of us might enjoy, please share with us in the comments.
