I’m always on the lookout for ways to tire out the kiddo. Like most pre-schoolers he has awesome energy levels. A few weeks ago one of the toy library ladies mentioned Tumbling Toddlers to me, so I thought I’d give it a go. And it was fab.
It takes place at the community hall at Southbrook School in Rangiora – lovely, big, light space. The whole hall is filled with fun things for toddlers to explore. There are big soft cubes, circles, triangles set up for them to play on, laid out on soft mats so they can throw themselves around as much as they like.
There were also mini trampolines for littlies, they have a little bar that they can hold onto whilst they jump. The kiddo loved these but struggled to get the hang of them. He was fascinated watching the other kids bouncing up and down like crazy, and I’m sure once we’ve been a few more times he’ll be doing the same.
And there were ride on toys, hoops, a little tent and crawl through tunnels as well as balls, sticks with ribbons on that the kids could wave about, etc. It was really good as there were so many different things to keep them engaged and entertained. The kiddo was running round checking out everything, which is why he’s now napping and I can write this!
I can thoroughly recommend it if you’re looking for something fun to do with a little.
