If you’re looking for things to do tomorrow then there’s a couple of local events.
For the grown ups the Kaiapoi Art Expo is worth a visit. I popped along today and there was a really good selection of works on display from local artists. I particularly like some of the animal and farm scene paintings. But there were also some great photographs, sculptures and textiles. As well as some really impressive stuff from some of the school exhibitis.
i fell in a love with an oil painting of a fantail. But someone had got there first. If you spot a picture with a red dot by it, that means it’s already sold.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in art, or even if you’re not – you might find you are. There are clearly some really talented local artists around.
The Kaiapoi Art Expo is on at the Kaiapoi Club, 113 Raven Quay from 10am to 5pm tomorrow.
If you’re looking for kiddy friendly events tomorrow then don’t miss Toddlers’ Big Day In tomorrow. It promises to be chock full of activities for preschoolers – from face painting to bouncy castles, a pirate band to puppet shows and magicians. And with the less than great weather we’ve been having – what parents couldn’t do with a low cost day in to keep the kids entertained?
It’s on from 10:30am-2:30pm at the New Life School Gymnasium in Rangiora and entry is free.
