Well the weather isn’t looking too great for tomorrow. So if you’re looking for an indoor activity head along to the Woodend Art & Craft Expo. There’ll be plenty of arty crafty stalls.
But even better is the chance to get crafty yourself. They’re going to be running speed craft sessions that last half an hour and allow you to learn a new crafting skill. So what kind of stuff can you learn? Well, one popular class returning this year is sugarcraft where you learn how to make decorative cupcake toppers.
New this year are classes in furniture where you can learn how to revamp old pieces and get that popular French shabby chic look. Woollen Guardian Angels class shows you how to make your own colourful guardian angels. Whilst recycled craft is all about creating usable materials from supermarket plastic bags.
There’s even kids’ craft lessons where they can decorate a gingerbread man, make a pom pom, make a peg doll or learn how to draw cartoons.
It sounds great fun. Tickets for speed craft lessons are $4 each or you can buy 3 for $10. Kids’ craft lessons are $2. If you simply want to pop along and browse then entry is, of course, free.
