If you’re looking for things to do locally there’s a few options this weekend.
Rangiora Art Society Exhibition – Friday 5th to Sunday 7th from 10am to 4pm daily – Rangiora Lawn Bowling Rooms on Good Street. I didn’t know the Rangiora Art Society has been going since 1959 so they’ve got quite a long history of supporting local artists. Anyway, there will be works on display and of course, some for sale. Entry is $2 for adults.
Rangiora Community Market – Saturday 6th – 8.30am to 12.30pm at St John’s Church Hall on the corner of High Street and Church Street. This is the car boot sale type event that takes place the first Saturday of every month. People sell all sorts of second hand stuff from pottery to cuddly toys. I’ve picked up a few good things there for the kiddo. So, worth popping along if you like to hunt for a bargain.
Father’s Day Celebration – Sunday 7th – This is at the Riverside Christian Fellowship at 45 ,Charles Street, Kaiapoi from 10am to 1pm. There’s going to be free paintball shooting with prizes for the kids. As well as a pig on the spit and coffee for the grown ups.
