There’s a few things on this weekend and, luckily given the less than great weather forecast, a couple of them are indoors. Enjoy.
Saturday 18th October – Art at Ohoka – 10am to 4pm, Ohoka Community School Hall on Jacksons Road – This promises to be a great exhibition of local artists. Expect to see wire art, garden sculptures, glass houses and I imagine there’ll be some regular old paintings as well. There are also workshops being held on everything from mosaics to working with clay. However, unless pre-booked you take your chances with those if you just pitch up on the day. Entry fee $5.
Saturday 18th October – Ohoka Parish Country Fair – 10am to 12.30pm, Ohoka Community Hall on Mill Road – Another reason to head out to Ohoka this Saturday. Gumboot throwing, tombola, yummy cakes and sweet treats are just some of the things on offer at this fun family event. There’ll also be produce and plants on sale and a white elephant stall so head along and get some bargains.
Saturday 18th October and Sunday 19th October Photography Exhibition – 10am to 4.30pm – Brick Mill Gallery, Waikuku. This exhibition, The Magic of Light, is put on by the Rangiora Photographic Society and will exhibit work from local photographers.
