Well, obviously the biggie this weekend is the A & P Show in Rangiora on Saturday, but there are a few other things on as well. Here’s some ideas. Keep your fingers crossed for the weather.

The Big Chill Youth Jam – Sat 25th Oct – 12 midday till 3pm – Motu Quay, Pegasus Town – This event should be easy on the wallet – they’re promising lots of free activities including learn to skate workshops and free gear hire. There’s also a bouncy castle for the littlies.
Woodford Glen – Sat 25th Oct – 7pm – It’s the opening night of the speedway season with the Trophy Challenge. And Woodford Glen are promising speedway thrills and spills. Adults $17 and family pass (2 adults, and up to 4 kids under 14) just $35. For more info check out http://www.woodfordglen.co.nz
Cust Market – Sun 26th Oct – 10am to 2pm – St David’s Union Church, Main Road, Cust – This small montly market sells produce and other things from local producers. However, the markets are themed and this month’s theme is gardening. So it might be a good opportunity to pick up some plants, etc.
Ashley Gorge Garden Experience – Mon 27th Oct – 10am to 4pm – First time out for this garden event. Six gardens to see on the tour as well as a private museum and quilting display. Tickets available from the Ashley Gorge Holiday Park – $15 per person if booked in advance, $18 on the day. Children under 12 are free.
