The weather’s not looking too bad for the weekend. And here’s a few events on in the area if you’re looking for things to do:
Woodford Glen Speedway – Sat 28th Feb – It’s the South Island Modified and Superstock Championships. I’ve heard good things about Woodford Glen – apparently it’s a really fun night out. And good for all the family. They have great value family passes at $35 for 2 adults and 4 kids. Otherwise entry is $17 per adult and $5 per child.
Loburn School – Concert in the Playground – Sat 28th Feb from 5pm – Have seen a few posters up for this online. There’s going to be live music from a local band, food and drink stalls, face painting and lots of things to keep kids and adults entertained. You can also take your own picnic along if you fancy. Could be fun. Not cheap though at $15 per adult and $5 per child. Family passes are available on the night apparently for $40.
Swannanoa Fair – Sun 1st Mar from 10am – This is down in Swannanoa, if you’re heading down Tram Road it’s unlikely you’ll miss it. We went along last year and it was a pretty good. This year there’s going to be plenty of stalls, a big white elephant, food and drink stalls, etc. And there’s plenty for the kids – miniature train, petting zoo, rides and bouncy castles. Entry $5 for adults and free for kids.
