Hmm, those skies are looking a bit grey at the moment…hopefully it won’t be raining later for a couple of the outdoor events on this afternoon/evening.  Well have a great weekend anyway…just keep an umbrella handy.

Well Rangiora Twilight Market is on Friday evening 4pm to 8pm as usual, but they’ve also got a little car boot sale on this week too.  $10 per car if you want to get rid of some clutter.  Otherwise, if you want to browse, well you may pick up a bargain.

Clarkville School Twilight Gala on Friday from 4pm to 7pm – White elephant, foods, bouncy castle, reaffles, live music.  Free entry.

If it does rain all weekend you could always check out the Rangiora Town Hall cinema – they’ve got a few movies showing including The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Fifty Shades of Grey.  You can book tickets online at their website.

Saturday is the Kaiapoi Community Garden open day from 10am to 1pm.  One for the gardening types amongst you.  There will be tips for seed saving, cooking demos and for the kids they’ll be running some craft workshops.  You’ll also get a chance to buy chutneys and jams and check out the gardens.

Also Saturday is the Kaiapoi Farmers Market and this week they’ve got a kids market on too – that is kids selling stuff not stalls selling stuff for kids.  9am to 12 midday.

If you’re in Rangiora on Saturday morning then you might want to check out the monthly community market and car boot sale.  It runs from 8.30am to 12 at St John’s Church hall – up at the top of High Street.

Sunday afternoon is the Fun Day from Rangiora Baptist Church.  It starts at 3pm down at 111 East Belt.  They’ve got all the usual stuff like face painting and bouncy castles.  But there are also some intriguing things on the poster like rickshaw rides and a horizontal bungee.
